Destination wedding: Atlantic City - Borgata/The Water Club offers luxury

Atlantic City is the east coast version of Las Vegas without traveling across country. When searching for another destination wedding location, Borgata and The Water Club in Atlantic City, NJ stand out among them. The first impression of Borgata's elegant style is marked by the private hotel lobby displaying marble archways, dark wood furnishings and door panels, buttery yellow wall accents, and a dramatic 3-dimensional Chihuly art glass chandelier. Chihuly glass is also spread throughout the public spaces of the hotel, evoking a modern, yet majestic feel.

Can you tell me about the hotel?

Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa features 2,000 guest rooms and suites; 161,000 square feet of gaming; 11 retail boutiques; 6 acclaimed fine dining restaurants by renowned chefs; a 54,000 square foot spa; and 4 signature nightlife experiences.

The resort also features Atlantic City’s first non-gaming, cosmopolitan hotel experience, The Water Club at Borgata.

Why a bride would want to have her wedding here?

A bride can get everything she needs for the big day in one place. Immersion Spa offers luxurious 80-minute treatments and an infinity-edge pool and fitness center (personal trainer available) to help get in shape before the ceremony. A salon is open for in-room hair styling and makeup applications.

The Water Club offer an impressive collection of upscale retail stores including La Perla’s luxury intimates and Hearts on Fire diamonds - the company’s first North American store.

Borgata offers celebrity-chef restaurants, entertainment, gaming, and nightlife options unmatched in Atlantic City. There is something to do at all hours, and something for everyone, making it a true destination wedding venue.

Each special event at The Water Club becomes a one-of-a-kind dining experience, as guests are invited to custom-build a menu from any of renowned Chef Geoffrey Zakarian’s fresh and imaginative creations, including a candy bar, featuring Zakarian’s homemade candies.

What about seasons, what are your busiest times of year that you're seeing brides?

We see brides all year but the busiest months for weddings are: May, June, September & October.

What are the best/signature experiences can a wedding party expect - or most importantly, if a couple is looking for a venue, why would they choose Borgata/The Water Club vs. another hotel/venue?

The Water Club at Borgata has taken Atlantic City to a new level by providing everything a contemporary traveler is looking for: high design, gourmet food and beverage by Geoffrey Zakarian, advanced technology and unmatched service. This is the ideal venue for intimate (120 guests or less), sophisticated, stylish and small wedding receptions, or engagement parties.

The versatility of the Aqua, Luna, Tides, and Waves rooms allow them to be set-up a variety of ways to best accommodate special event guests. There is over 4,000 sq ft of pre-function space, including a living room lounge for guests to enjoy hors d’oeuvres or socialize.

The lush and serene atmosphere of The Water Club’s five unique pool areas provide a unique alternative to a banquet room and will have your guests thinking they’re somewhere in the islands. Indoors or out, the exotic décor and ambiance of the poolside makes for an unforgettable affair. If you are looking for a venue that will meet all of your wedding needs, take the time to look at the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa.

This is a great place to stay! One of my favorite Atlantic City hotels and I can't wait until the next time I get a chance to visit AC and stay there!
